It all happened with a dream in a backyard pool. Natalie Buster and Corina Zars were chatting about the local theatre scene in San Antonio and how they wished there were more roles available for women past the age of 40. Glamorous roles: roles that required feathers, sequins, sparkles. At one point they turned to each other and said, “why don’t we just do it ourselves?” And thus, The Bubble Sisters were born.

 

Our dream has since become a mission and a movement. We are passionate about using the performing arts to encourage women to embrace their femininity and glamour. We are talking about all women: regardless of shape, size, age, even gender.

 

Our first production, La Femme Mystique, was hosted at the sumptuous Josephine Theatre. We raised over $7000 for Curtain Up Cancer Foundation, a local non-profit organization in San Antonio.
