7.13.2020 New Class Alert!

One of the silver linings I've encountered during this pandemic is the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues in different states. Since the beginning of the COVID era, so many yoga studios have taken their classes online. Sadly, many brick and mortar yoga studios have had to close up shop, but those studios who have been able to shift into an online presence, I feel, may survive this period and emerge intact.

One studio that has gone completely online is Second Bloom Yoga, a studio owned by a friend of mine who I met during Yoga Therapy Teacher Training in California. She had a gorgeous, sun-drenched studio in Benecia, but because of COVID, has decided to let her lease go and offer classes online. Because of this, I am able to work with her again, even though I live in Texas. See? Silver linings! I started a Kids Yoga class with her last Friday, and this Wednesday, I will begin another online class: Yin and Yoga Nidra at Noon PST (2 PM CST). Click here to sign up!

I am thrilled to continue teaching online with Neva Massage and Yoga Studio here in San Antonio. The owner of this studio is so dedicated and kind. She has given me so many opportunities to offer yoga classes and continue my teaching even in the time of the pandemic. I currently teach on Wednesday nights at 6 PM CST and Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM CST. Both of these classes are gentle in nature. The one on Wednesday focuses on using the tools of yoga to overcome anxiety during this COVID era. Click here to sign up for classes.

Another unexpected silver lining for me has been the opportunity to offer online Yoga for Kids. These classes are geared towards Pre-K to 2nd grade children. Together we move our bodies, stretch, sing, and tell stories. With my background in theatre, this has become a wonderful playtime, and I've learned so much from teaching these kiddos.

There are two opportunities each week for your wee ones to take online yoga with me. I offer Kids Yoga through Second Bloom Yoga studio (we use Zoom) on Fridays at 11 AM PST (1 PM CST). You can sign up here.

I also offer Magik Yoga for Kids on the Magik Theatre Facebook Page live every Sunday at 10 AM. There's no need to register for this class, as the class is offered via Facebook Live. If you miss the live class, you can access the video anytime on the Magik Theatre Facebook page. Click here to do so.

Taking online yoga classes can be tough. Sometimes the last thing people want to do after a long day staring at their screens is stare at another screen to take a yoga class. But with the rate of COVID infection increasing, it really is the safest choice. My goal is to make each class as personal as it would be if you were attending an in-person class. We chat at the beginning and the end of each class, and I do my best to tailor each class to the students' needs. If you've never tried online yoga, give it a try! Most classes are quite inexpensive, as many studios are offering a discounted rate due to not having to pay rent on a physical space. Here is my schedule. Hope to see you on your mat!
